These Terms govern your use of the website and software products of HiveThoughts Technologies Private Limited ("HiveThoughts", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in India with its registered office in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. By using our website or apps, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our products

We build consumer software products, including apps that are offline-first and store your data on your own device. Individual products may carry additional product-specific terms shown within the app; those apply alongside these Terms.

2. Your responsibilities

• Use our products lawfully and only for their intended purpose.
• Keep your device secure — for on-device products, your data's safety depends on your device's security and your own backups.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse our software except as permitted by applicable law.

3. Not financial advice

Some of our products help you track money, plan loan repayments, or understand your financial health. All calculations, scores, and simulations are informational tools only — they are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Verify important figures with your bank or a qualified adviser before acting on them.

4. Intellectual property

The HiveThoughts name, wordmark, honeycomb mark, product names (including Ettana), and all software and content on this site belong to HiveThoughts or its licensors. Data you create inside our products is yours.

5. Free products and availability

Products offered free of charge are provided "as is". We work hard to keep them reliable, but we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any product or feature. For on-device products, discontinuation does not delete data stored on your device.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HiveThoughts is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or products, including loss of data or financial decisions made based on information shown in our apps. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

7. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Madurai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update this page and the date above; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
